Def! It’s always worth isolating a problem to see whether it’s one end or the other, and i’d bet you have more luck with USB-MIDI coming from your pc as a direct host, and likely the same issue sending Keystep originated USB-MIDI to another client device.
Hi,
Mono is not USB Host. It only sends/receives MIDI data.
Connect your Keystep to Mono via the DIN MIDI ports
on both the devices.
Hope this helps.
Hey Mathieu,
Just take your time, my friend.
Mono is great like it is, although I’m sure you’ll make it better
and better with each new firmware update.
Thank you for this beautiful instrument and all your efforts.
Another inquire. Maybe was written by other customer:
- Could be easy to add a new shortcut (like Func + Undo + Pattern#1) to restore the requested pattern to the original saved state?
This addition will be nice to restore the full patterns edits and discard when editing (and to not load the entire “project”) or change to the state to the original in live performance.
Thanks!
And maybe:
- When this shortcut was activated (restore to the original pattern state), put the edited pattern state in a “temp” memory to add another shortcut (like Func + Redo + Pattern#) to recall this “temp” edited pattern and overwrite the original pattern (without saving it at the “project” in both cases).
I use a lot this option on Waldorf Microwave XT to compare edited pattern and the original.
Thanks!
Hello!
Is it too late to have phase reset on OSC upon midi note?
Yes one of most important features Osc phase reset. So Osc will start from 0 cycle. Its very important to make a bass for example. If that will be in 2.0 firmware I will straight order that synth.
Ooh, that’s fun. In-memory versus saved comparison.
One of the issues I have is over-working a preset / sequence to where it’s better in one sense but not another, so it’d be nice to get a feeling for when i’ve turned my clay into a turd.
Hello everyone
We are droping the beta next tuesday.
For those of you who want to get their hands dirty, please subscribe here : Norand
Cheers!
Exciting! I’m not usually on the bleeding end of things but happy to back up and try this out, especially since the alpha has “baked in” for so long
Did the osc phase rest make it in?
Excellent! Looking forward!
Any list of features implemented in this new FW?
Just received my Mono!
Are we still looking at the beta drop sometime today?
Aye, I did that a couple of days ago, just wanted to check in case I can stop F5’ing like an idiot
The 45 minutes or so I’ve had with the Mono has been awesome though - I’m amazed at the UX design, so simple yet so complex. I haven’t even looked at the manual and I’ve figured out quite a bit of the functionality.
Absolutely loving it either way, with or without V2.0
Has any subscriber received the beta already?
Hello everyone !
I am finalizing the patch note and short manual for the new features. Once I’m done I’ll send the mass emails… Hopefuly I’ll be done before midnight CET!
Cheers
Ha ha, no worries, after some months waiting, on n’est pas à une minute près
Unfortunately, this cannot be done There is no way to reset the oscillator’s phase. There might be a complicated trick to use the sync circuit of the second osc to emulate this but it would be fairly complicated, and of course wouldn’t work on oscillator 1.
It’s out there ! Have fun
