Yes, I don’t recall any real problems sending clock from my RME or MoTU interfaces.
New user/owner a few days ago here…I have had several freezes on both beta 2.0b6 AND v1.99, despite triple-checking that all procedures are followed.
Secondly: I use SysEx Librarian on a mac mojave…looks like the projects are saved ok to the software, but nothing will load to the norand, that is: it´s loading on screen and finishes, but no content or patterns are visible on the destination norand project slot or elsewhere…have someone experiences this, found a solution, a differnt librarian, perhaps?
NB! The norand software and bootloaders transferred flawless, it`s the projects that doesn´t load.
Thanks!
did you solve this???
Yes! Today it works! Regarding loading up projects to Mono from SysEx Librarian, it was just a matter of saving the project on the device immediately when the transfer was finished ;-/…support said they would put this in the manual eventually…I also may have had some memory corruption somewhere after changing firmware back and forth…Now the memory is cleared, my project loaded back in, and so far today I had no freezes…I´m on v1.99
good work !!
how is the stability overall with the new beta???
I think I may wait a while longer with upgrading, and rather stress test this version for a week or so to see if I can rely on it on stage…I had freezes before, but now I am sure everything is as clean as can be, so I can start the “stressing” and hopefully have Mono work as intended…
Have you had any issues with 1.99? Stage-use?
im fence sitting until the actual v2 release
just been interesting reading how people are finding the bugs and the new features
mono is a keeper for me i absolutely love it and its always one that ends up in the mix
thanks for your reply
At the risk of sound of sounding like a fanboy, I use the 2.06b about 3 hours a day without issue. I use it as a MIDI Clock Slave, constantly deleting and creating new patterns on the fly with Mod notes and randomizations. I’m going to continue to use it live, including a gig April 22nd. I’m not “power using” it, though, in all of its capabilities (as a MIDI slave, or with a bunch of stored patterns). Since I got it 18 (?) months back I’ve had 2 separate hardware issues, neither impacted the firmware. It’s been rock solid for months.
However, I love to be risky and used an early beta live during a gig— it had no issues that night.
I say upgrade and try. The tuning, UNDO, Mod notes, and many other new features far outweigh the risks.
Hi everyone,
It is time ! We release V2.0.0r today. While we update the website, here is the download link:
Download
Enjoy!
Excellent!
Can’t wait to try!
It took a while, but many thanks for this!
There is a typo in the install instructions. The first bullet point in Step 3 says “Boot mono in the secondary bootloader by holding [PATTERN] and [RUN] and powering the unit.” It should say “by holding [TEMPO] and [FUNC]”.
You’re welcome! When what was written didn’t work (I was wondering about it before I tried it) I was afraid I had done something terrible. But apparently not.
The suggested correction by plragde reads [TEMPO] and [FUNC], however the document at that position now reads [TEMPO] and [RUN]. Can you clarify which is correct?
Also, a question about the automatic loading of the first V1 project upon boot: is it only the project in position 1 that is converted, so that projects previously saved in other positions will have to be received from the PC?
Thanks.
Hi Hans,
Thanks, it knows read TEMPO + FUNC as it should.
The projects are converted as they are loaded with the usual key, whenever you load a V1 project it’ll do the transcript, weither it is empty or not! I have clarified it in the update procedure.
Cheers
Stuck at …
Installed 1.99 (worked)
Installed Bootloader (worked)
Installed 2.0.0r (stuck)
Any ideas …?
Thanks
I reinstalled 2.0 again now it seems to work. took a few tries. but now back up
Thank you for this excellent update on an already wicked machine. Appreciate the time and effort that’s gone into delivering this. Jim
I’m a little freaked out. Updated it yesterday and it was successful and worked.
Today I plug it in, it all lights up for a second then nothing. Now I hit power and it won’t turn on at all. Like totally dead. What happened?!
I can’t seem to figure out what could have happened…any ideas/advice?
