Hi I am considering a Norland Mono, and I really like the sequencer.
I’d like to be able to play a note to trigger the sequence at that tone, basically to use the powerful sequencer as a super envelope. (ie: playing a higher note transposes the played pattern). Is this possible on the Norland Mono? Or is it planned?
Thank you,
Christian
Unfortunately, not at this time.
When you trigger via MIDI, it interrupts the sequence to play that MIDI note, then resumes the sequence.
I’m still on the MK1, not sure if its the same with the MK2
However on the MOD notes, it can play pitched versions on the +1 and +2 channels. Kinda fun!

Thank you, that’s very helpful.
I was slightly wrong…
In TRANSPOSE mode (FUNCTION E KEY) it WILL transpose the sequence if you play the keys.
I only accidentally discovered this.
Ah excellent, thanks for checking!
Will it also trigger/end the sequence? As in, if I hold down a key (MIDI) key, does it play, and release the key does it stop?
And which firmware are you using? Since I understood there’s quite a lot of difference in features between them…
I’m on v2.12r, the last version. The last version is cumulative.
No, it doesn’t start/stop, and I don’t know if that’s possible.
However, its rock solid and works great with typical MIDI start/stop
