The last year has been quite the rollercoaster for synthesizer companies, and even more so for the very tiny one like us. I saw some of you expressing concern about the future of Norand, and although we’ve slowed down development a lot, we’re not going anywhere ! We will continue to support our products for the years to come, and continue to release firmware update as long as bugs are found. We had an issue with our servers and lost many user messages, that’s also the reason users could not sign up to the forum. This has now been fixed.
Mono MK2 V1.2.3
1 .. 2 .. 3, this ones seems like an odd one and should be quite a random update, but we’ve actually put a lot of work into, hours of back and forth between our 2 faithful beta testers and myself, with one idea in mind : no stones unturned. The patch note won’t do it justice but we’ve found many potential source of crash that would occur in very specific scenarios, and fixed them one by one. I will leave our users judge by themselves, and of course, please continue giving us feedback by email for future updates ! Download here : Norand

I’m going to try get in contact here because i haven’t received replies from support through facebook or the website over the past 2 years of owning the unit. Please respond to my support requests so i can use the unit, or send it to you for repair, or something, because it barely ever powers on properly, or if it does it will turn off after some random amount of time and often seems bricked.
It would be great if Norand would communicate the best way to reach them these days. By email, or in this forum.
I think it would already help if someone from Norand would just visit this forum once a week and give some feedback. Otherwise I think this place could be closed
Finally I was able to subscribe to the forum. Thank you for the new update 1.2.3, I’m almost happy with my MK2 now. There are only 3 things that bug me
Adding probability to step does not work especially when the step is Lit with green color (don’t know what that means) I did figure out to hold the Func down turn the Prob knob then press a step and then I can turn the probability knob so the light changes to some sort of red, but if the steps comes with green/blue color I cannot put ANY prob there)
When I use Step recording the Velocity/Z that I use on pad does not get transferred do the step I’m programming. Thus I always need hold step and change volume knob
Random Patch Generation is too harsh, you’ve never get a tonic result , since you put too much modulation on frequency of both oscillators. Some Additive RND and or smarter allocation of LFO modulations would yield better results. I always have to remove the LFO from the main ADSR b/c the LFO on attack is pretty much useless
